I had the same problem. My new Dan Wesson would jam after a few rounds. I had to field strip the firearm to relieve the jam. With a live round in the chamber you must be cautious in handling it or take it to a gunsmith. According to the user manual a new Dan Wesson .45 must fire 300 - 500...
