The 500 I had with the 8" barrel was a pussycat with 325grain jhp. The massive weight really mitigated any recoil. Now a 500 with those 4" barrels I wouldn"t want any part of. I never did try the 400g "grizzly rounds" though, I would bet they would have jumped my 500. The M29 was 100x worse...

Lesson 1, PMC magnum rounds not for me with a 4" barrel. Lesson 2, 44 specials dumbed down to 850-900fps nicey nice. :D Very accurate, definitely need some wooden fingered groove grips. I saw some real nice ones online.

Well I have to eat my words about the MB show. I traded my SW500 for my dream revolver, a SW model 29 4" in blue. It is new. The 29-10 which is fine with me considering my 500 had 21 shells through it. I know from SW the Model 29-10 in 4" blue retails at $1149, at least by their website. I paid...
