I have several (50+) .45 magazines and found that a few of them would function with .40 S&W ammunition. Most would not.

I probably won’t buy any more .40 cal mags since I have a few .45 mags that do feed reliably. I’ve marked them with a paint pen as .40 to keep them separated.
