Help with holster
My 1911's ride in BlackRhino holsters. I still cherish the leather holsters made by Nightingale or Kirkpatrick Leather. Those shops are now a year out for most orders. -

Nighthawk Drop In Modular Trigger
I can see value in a drop in unit such as this. Price wise it is steep but if you have a $700 1911 and want to make it a better shooter there is nothing like a 3 3/4 lb trigger. The trigger is why we keep buying 1911's and not every gunsmith is qualified to work on a 1911.- RStone

Have any used / for sale guns EVER had more than “200 down the tube”?
Many gun owners buy a gun thinking it will be the one that shoots magic bullets that POA= POI. A box of cartridges is 50 rounds. Afterwards they find it is not to their liking. Doesn't shoot as great as their Captain America gun. They sell it "only 50 rounds through it". No big deal. Any buyer...- RStone

Decisions Decisions! Colt CQBP or Dan Wesson Specialist Distressed
I would take the DW. I feel their attention to detail exceeds Colt these days. The only thing I was concerned with when I owned a DW was the magwell was held in place by a screw that kept backing out even with loctite used. They may have fixed that with the mainspring housing being one piece... -
repeating the same mistake
Sorry to say it but I'd leave hastily and never return. A letter to the owner would put them on notice. Documenting deficiencies are a sure way to get legal attention that's unwanted when a bullet goes a stray. -
DW Pointman 9 mags not dropping free
Did the mags drop OK before you added the magwell? -
