I've used sim rounds before. They hurt that's for damn sure, they also have a very short effective range compared to most rounds. Probably about 100 feet or so.

ACT makes a very good magazine, Chip McCormicks are great, as are the Wilsons. I would lean towards the Chip or the Wilson myself.

I don't like the idea of the 30 round magazine, wouldn't fit in any mag pouches, but I saw them at SHOT and I like the idea of the first magazine in the gun being a 45 round one and than going to your traditional 30 round magazines. The detachable barrel on the AK is cool, but I don't know that...
