The 2011 is a monster. I own the DVC Carry. It shoots like an extension of my hands. It is a super pointable pistol. Everyone who shoots it grins from ear to ear.
I have only used milspec because of the durability. They got me through 20 years of deployments from the Americas to the Middle East. They have never failed. Therefore, I look for mil surplus or manufactures that make magazines for the military.
I felt I needed to add my background and experience. My Father (step) and his Father are black veterans. My Father served in Vietnam as a crew chief and his served in WWII as a engineer. I followed their footsteps and spent 20 years defending our freedoms as an Army engineer. I’m a mix of...
That sounds like an interesting and awesome learning experience. I used War Blade training by Sammy Franco. I don’t remember the background but I remember it was down and dirty.
I carry a CRKT Kit Carson M16-13SF. This is my 2nd one. I lost the first one that I routinely deployed with. I wrote CRKT and explained the connection to the knife. They send me a new one free of charge. I chose it because it has guards to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. The blade...
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man had a kick azz bike in it. I truly wanted a bike like that when I was a young soldier. I ended up with my second choice from T2 a Fatboy anniversary edition. My last tour in Iraq blew my back out. I no longer ride but offer get the freedom bug of the open road.
I watched a training video where the instructor expressed his thoughts on how a handgun is a defensive tool. Taking the defensive tool mindset allowed the students to focus on the training versus trying to focus on training and protecting the condition of their collection piece. It made me take...
Kimber converted me to 1911s. I was a die hard Glock man. I learned to compete with my G19. I point, squeeze, and it hits every time. However, 1911s are sexy pistols, especially Kimber 1911s. My first was the Kimber SIS Pro 45acp with bull barrel. I got it when they first came out on the market...
Wife got me a DVC carry for my birthday this year. She got me the 9mm without light rail. This thing shoots like a well oiled machine. There is very little muzzle flip. It fits the hand well and did I mention it shoot like a well oiled machine. The wife also liked it and she is not a shooter.
