New to the Forum but not to 1911s. When I was around 10 or 11 years old, my Dad let me shoot his 1911 that he brought back from the War (WW2). It's been a love affair ever since. The majority of my 1911s were Colts was a number of Kimbers thrown into the mix. I had a Wayne Novak Custom and a Commander that I had Wilson Combat so almost $1500 worth of work to back in thelate 90s.

But, back in 2011 I had a bout with cancer that put me on my back for 9 months. I had no income. That 1911 collection tided me over for almost 2 years. Currently, I only own one 1911. It's a LW COMMANDER in .45ACP.

Welcome to 1911 Fanatics from North Central Oklahoma!
Great to hear you beat cancer. My mom beat it twice but the third time was not a charm.
I hate cancer.

Welcome from Eastern NC. I hope you enjoy it here, and I'm glad to hear you survived your bout with cancer. My daughter is a cancer survivor. I hate that disease with everything I've got.
Welcome from West Mi. I admit I have a huge soft spot for L/W commanders. My very first 1911 was a brand new Colt L/W Commander in 45acp. I currently own 3 of them.
