Well, I finally got around to shooting it. At first, I thought it looked odd with all the small stainless parts but a black trigger, then I thought a stainless might be a little much.

Feels good in the hand. A little heavier than expected but good. Recoil of the 9mm is pretty mild in this gun. I have 3 more coming in 45 ACP pretty soon. Right now, I just have the 9mm to review.

Someone is lying on the Kimber sight because the 9mm and 45 versions have the exact 31.2lbs listed. I suspect that's the 45 version. In either case, it feels good. Ran it for function with just some oil on the rails, under rapid fire with just some 115gr hand loads. To my surprise, it ran great. Very little muzzle rise. It's a quick gun.

Kimpro finish is good. I don't know that I'd trade it for my hard chrome for daily carry but it's a nice gun for the money. The silver is actually stainless, not paint. The black walnut grips look good on it in person. It does, however, have stainless screws on one side and black screws on the other. I found that odd. Wonder if the others are that way.

I'd recommend this to a friend. At $613, ($596 for the 45), it's the cheapest full size Kimber 1911 I could find and it didn't disappoint, not yet anyway. I still have to accuracy test it.
