OK...you're carrying and there's an active shooter,

Yet, we are not allowed to guard our schools…

    Open carry...again

Yes, and there are easier targets that do not display a weapon (the downside of concealed carry). Following people home from the range, directly or via tracker, is common. Then again, so are random home break-ins. An OC’er will likely shoot back while a person at work most definitely will...

    Open carry...again

Absolutely impossible and the idea is a product of the gun industry. Merely fishing out keys and opening a door draws attention inward.

    Open carry...again

The assertion that one becomes a target is not really true. See below. Keep in mind we will never have accurate stats on this stuff. All these stories show is that it goes both ways. We know from a few cases that open carry does deter crime IF AND ONLY IF the criminal notices beforehand. We...

Do you typically carry a reload

ALWAYS. I carry at least one. Doublestacks are usually one, sometimes two. Singlestack guns get two unless it’s a little gun where concealment is important.

    Why would they do this?

I know for a fact you cannot take an barely literate worker and turn them into an engineer. An internet company I worked for tried and failed. I kicked a bunch of these people off our servers because threy were running destructive commands. So, the illegals coming across the border will...

    1911 Government Appendix Carry

I have found that the shorter slides are more comfortable. I prefer the Commander and my T4 with 3.9” barrel. It comes down what you can put up with for 8-12 hours. Holster adjustment is essential. This is why I use JM Custom Kydex and Tenicor with Discreet Carry Concepts clips and Pull the...

    Appendix carry 1911

There is a trick: use the support side hand for reaching high.

    Appendix carry 1911

Tenicor Certum 3 on Kore Essentials belt (8# tactical belt with X7 buckle). Works great between belt and pants with a wedge. Carrying my Government is finally comfortable. A Commander/Glock17/SIG P220 is better but I like the Government.

Holosun 507C vs Trijicon II RMR

Read Sage Dynamic’s white paper and watch various tests for individual optics.

Holosun 507C vs Trijicon II RMR

The SIG Romeo does when dropped. The Romeo Pro will break on the first drop but likely be useable.

Holosun 507C vs Trijicon II RMR

Yes, if you need the durability. The RMR.2 is pushing 20-30 drops on concrete. The important issue is for duty use. Banging the gun or optic can cause issues with non-Trijicon optics. So, if you plan upon being rough with a gun, get the RMR.2.

    1911 Government Appendix Carry

I have been carrying my ValorHawk Government AIWB in a Tenicor Certum 3. I place it between the belt and pants to prevent hot spots and pressure. Works great and is comfortable because the pants protect me from annoying problems.

    Bad experiences with the 1911

The Enforcer is chugging along and gets large portions of Federal HST and American Eagle. The Valor, unfortunately, is on a low grain diet since I can only afford to feed one of them.
