Think that you will be pretty happy with the match that we put together.
I like shooting the CMMG match, but I HATE the bloody drive out there. For my money Millcreek is as good as any club match that I have ever shoot and is only 45 minutes from my house.
See you Saturday!

The round count will be around 75 each for rifle, pistol, and shotgun. Bring 5 slugs just in case someone gets froggy with the stage design.
Also, the CMMG match has been cancelled this weekend accordning to their website (http://midwest3gun.com/index.php). So if you were planning on heading...
Just a reminder that next Saturday is the first Millcreek 3 Gun match of the season.
We are planning on having 5 or 6 stages. John is confirming that now. One stage will be a longer range rifle stage with targets out to about 250 yards or so. We should have our new flashers out by then and...
After reading all 10 pages of this you think that none of it is excessive or out of place.
When friends of friends call you up for advise on buying a new gun. And then you take them to the range with a portion of your collection to let them test fire some potential purchases.
When you go to...
I have been using Rainer Ballistics for about eight years now. I was shooting ammo loaded with lead bullets over Unique powder but it was to smoky. I was shooting a match in NC one summer and it was humid with no wind. One stage was on a very small bay that had divider walls between the bays...
I was shooting 150-200 yard steel from the back of a pickup truck using the cab as a rest at a 3 gun match. I wanted to get as low as possible so I didn't use my magazine as a rest like I usually do. I just pushed the front of the mag well against the back of the cab. I kept missing and...
New Braunfels is a little slice of heaven in my opinion. I visited an Army buddy for two weeks a few years ago. He was from San Marcos and took us there. I love the whole area. Of course, I only spent two weeks there so I don't know all of the dirty secrets.
Welcome to Boomer Shooter!

I think that NC just has so many units in the state that put an emphisis on this type of shooting as part of their training. 15 years ago the Rangers started training CQB and as they rotated out of the regiment some filtered to the 82nd. Then it became common training once the GWOT started...
Shooting IPSC is a points per second type of scoring. Example:We are both shooting MAJOR. You shoot 2 x D in 2 seconds (4 pts/2 seconds=2 hit factor). I shoot 2 x A in 4 seconds (10pts/4seconds=2.5 hit factor). I just beat your really fast but unaccurate run by doubling the time and getting...
Before I moved to KS 2 years ago, I shoot Charles' matches almost every month. Charles puts on a high quality match! IIRC most of the monthly matches even had a prize table of some sort. The courses of fire are challenging and the shooters are top notch. Of course it doesn't hurt that a...
I was stationed at Fort Sill for 4 years back in the '90s. I loved it there, but there wasn't really a shooting community in the area back then. I am happy to see that things have changed.

We just had a class here at Millcreek Rifle and Pistol club in Desoto KS. I did not coordinate the event, but I put some pressure on the right folks to get one. Our instructor was Troy McManus and I can send you his e-mail address if you want to contact him directly.
The impression that I...
