I can't tell from the picture what the white looking stuff is. Is it the finish flaking off, I can't tell? I have had very good results using Case Paste for cleaning and polishing pretty much any metal. I polish all of the feed ramps on my pistols with it and have great results.

Looks like it wasn't crimped at all or very little at the most. I've loaded many 45 ACP's with 185 grain Hornady XTP bullets and I've never had any problems like this or anything else.
