Tested the 18" upper I put together today. Lets just say that after shooting a fairly heavy 20incher for two years shooting a lighter 18 sucked. So I guess I'll be using the 20 for the world shoot after all.

Thats probably the reason they're saying the conquest range is the most popular in the US, because they are typically marketed towards hunters.....I guess.

More info, this is actually the same glass as the premium V8 range, But they have used the Conquest name because it's been more popular in the US than the Victory model range. So basically this is high end optics at mid range price.

Yep, weird stuff about your reticle preferences. But they are 1x though, I don't know why they call it 1.1. I have two V8s and there's no magnification on the low end.

Yep, gave me a stagewin once. We had to start shooting sitting in a chair, so I just had the shooting stick attached, at the beep I just leaned forward and smoked the small IPSC targets at 100 yards, ripped the shooting stick off and ran through the rest of the stage hosing short range targets.

Just ordering a Faxon flame fluted 18". A few guys here have bought it and shot sub moa, so it sounds like a good deal.

Going to bring two rifles to the Rifle World Shoot in Russia, the top one is going to be rebuilt with a longer handguard and 18" barrel. The bottom one is the 20" I've been shooting the last couple years. Haven't decided what's going to be the main match rifle and which one is the backup.

Sounds strange, unless you have a very low mount you should be way high on 35 with an 18 zero. Try running it through a ballistic calculator. With a 35 zero you should be about 1.5 inch low on 10 yards and slightly shy of 1 inch on 20.

I would zero a PCC at about 35, same as my open pistol so you dont have to work out both hold over and hold under. You're catching the bullet before it has peaked, just like a 50/200 rifle zero. And that's too complicated for my brain under stress :girlwacko:

Never had any problems myself, and never seen anyone have problems except for under gassing the system. I just turn mine down until it doesn't lock back on the last round with Fiocchi, which is the weakest ammo I'm going to use, and then turn it back up one half turn or so. Then I shoot matches...

Standard A2 stock. Most other guys over here run Ace skeleton stocks. I guess they're about the same length.
