If you find a rifle you like but it doesn't have the side rail for comblock optics, you could add one, go with the ultimak gas mount, or get one of the new Texas weapon system's generation 2 dog leg. Personally, I'm still debating which way to go

Do the yugo's have chrome-lined barrels? I had a yugo Sks and it did not have chrome lined barrel, so it was built with a heavier barrel. Nice rifle and pretty accurate.

Any ak, from wasr to arsenal should be reliable and function fine. I would have no problem with buying a wasr if I could inspect it prior to buying it to check for function and gas block/sight cant. There could be more variance in accuracy with the cheaper ones than the higher priced ones. I...

I grew up in that area. There at least used to be a Murray county gun club that had a small range between sulphur and Davis, just off of the highway. Don't know what the current membership fees are or if there are any, but you might want to look into it.
