I will comment on the Ruger SR1911; I purchased this from Rural King years ago when the price was in the mid six hundreds.The only modification was to install Wilson sights which made me more accurate, no details as to the the materials and construction of the SR it is Ruger built and will stand...

Take a look at Ruger, The SR1911 is a Full-Size Classic original 1911... enough said. Oh! Those of us who brush our teeth might prefer Colgate, some Crest or Ipana (do they still make that) point being bottom line is, What You Like, don't compromise and you will be happy for a long time.

Adding another issue, my last order of Winchester 185 gr. may be light in the propellant department. My usual groups were quit a bit off and there were many failures after last shot for slide lock. I will be going back to Federal.
