Remington does anyone have experience with the Rem. r1 1911

I've had two R1 ENHANCED models which had the same "flaw". Put them on HALF COCK and pull the trigger. Guess what - THE HAMMER FALLS ! When I disassembled them to smooth out the triggers I learned what the problem is. They do not have a half-cock notch. It is a half-cock STEP ! Some idiot at...

    STI Staccato C

I've put several hundred thru my 45 and it is still hard to rack the slide or do a press check. I also have a Heavy 10, fairly new and it is also hard to work.

    STI Staccato C

My 1911 is 9mm while my Executive 2011 is a 45. I like the 45 except that the mag is extremely hard to load to near capacity. Also they should put witness holes on the back of the mags.

And at different angles, the gun length looks different. Going straight across (LOW 3 or high 5) you see...

    1920 Colt 1911

I have a 1911 built in 1914 which is looking for a new home since I shoot all mine quite extensively. This one has been relegated to being a "safe queen". There is a deformed ring the size of the primer around the firing pin hole in the breech face. I was told by Walt Kuleck that the metallurgy...
