Need to decide. PLEASE help me make the RIGHT decision!

I have three DW’s and one Springfield EMP because they are accurate and reliable. Colt is OK. Remington horrible. My local gun shop stopped carrying Kimber because of what they said was a drop in quality. If you don’t want to pay for a Dan Wesson, try a Springfield

I have on order a DWX-Compact but who knows when DW will start up again. Wilson Combat makes the EDC XP9 (4”, 1911 on X Frame, 15+1). It’s beautiful but also $2700 MSRP. However, I I could trade in 2 DW ECO’s and a Sig P 365 XL recently bought but don’t like and only have a few hundred to pay...

    1911 R1 night sights?

Hope you have better luck with your Remington than I did. Bought one soon after they opened their plant in Huntsville because I live here. It was poor quality and would not feed hollow points. Gunsmith couldn’t make it feed them either. I traded it in. I now just have three Dan Wesson’s and...

Looking to purchase my first 1911

I would stay away from the Remington R1. I just traded one in that I bought new. I found it very inaccurate compared to my Dan Wesson’s, a colt and two Springfield’s. It also would not battery hollow points. Like a lot of things, you get what you pay for. Not an entry 1911 maybe but the Dan...

Remington does anyone have experience with the Rem. r1 1911

I have one. I bought it out of sentiment because I live in Huntsville where they are assembled. It is the worst 1911 I have (and I have 3 Dan Wesson’s, 1 Springfield, 1 Colt and 1 Browning). It is easily the least accurate and will not battery hollow points. The gun smith and range master at...

    Point of impact

How sensitive is the trigger? Looks like the classic trigger ‘jerk’ but if you don’t normally do that and the sights are on, it might be caused by a trigger taking too much to pull. I have a Remington 1911 that I don’t shoot partly for that reason. They other is it won’t feed hollow points...

    Dan Wesson PM-C .45 - Fail after 6 rounds

I can say that the people at Sig are stellar. I wanted a small grip module for the P320 and they sent me the wrong one (it was actually defective) and they were great to finally take the pistol back and change it out themselves and didn’t charge me because of the hassle.

    Dan Wesson PM-C .45 - Fail after 6 rounds

Geez. All this is news to me. I have 3 DW’s, all .45’s. One CCO and two ECO’s including my carry. Never had a problem with any of them but they are all 5-7 years old. I wonder if The quality is slipping? Having said that, I’m in love with my Sig P320 with the military trigger. It almost...

Springfield Armory XD-M in 10mm : Any Opinions?

Don’t have any experience with the XDM but my wife’s carry is a 9mm EMP. Loves it. Very reliable and accurate. She has a CT grip laser on it. Nice package

XD night sights for Springfield EMP?

Not a night sight but my wife’s carry is an EMP. I put a Crimson Trace grip laser on it. She now won’t shot anything that doesn’t have a laser. My carry is a Dan Wesson ECO in .45 with a CT grip laser in green. Awesome combination with no change to weight or feel.

Sights for those of us getting older.

My carry is a Dan Wesson ECO .45 with a Crimson Trace green grip laser. I shoot both eyes open. Combination of the Dan Wesson accuracy, it’s trigger pull and the laser = very close groupings at 20’. Wouldn’t have anything else

Dan Wesson Added a 3rd Dan Wesson to my family

I have three as well. All black with wood grips. All in 45 ACP. Two ECO’s, one with CT green grip laser and one CCO. CCO used to be my carry but now it’s the ECO with the laser. Love them.
