.380ACP Tulammo (I should have known from the "made in Russia" label)

better get used to it. all the major US manufacturers are going steel case or contracting out to the Russians due to the high cost of copper and brass for their low cost lines. Black hills cci Hornady Remington are just a few of the ones that have announced it.

    Steel-core ammo (Bi-metal bullets)

"steel core" is a steel or tungsten carbide penetrator suspended in a covering of lead with a copper or other gilding metal jacket. "steel jacketed" is a bullet covering of steel or other alloy gilding metal that will attract a magnet. sophisticated x-ray equipment HA HA! what a joke! You...

You'll probably never see this again

When I was a kid Bill Jordan used to come to the ORA annual meetings and Red Castle's meetings once or twice a year and put on a fast draw demonstration with wax bullets.

    Glock guide rod/recoil spring

Anybody dealing glock parts will offer them. You just need to decide plastic or stainless rod. Make sure it comes with ism (sp?) flat spring as they seem to be prefered. Some dealers even offer a package with 3 different weight springs. stove pipes/ftf are usually caused by 1.lack of...

    Shorten Wood Shotgun Stock, How?

If your stock is really nice and you don't want to ruin it. I would go to Gun broker or the gun garage - etc. and pick up a scratch and dent special to cut down. Thus saving your original to put back on later. I've seen some lately around $25-40 even some bell & carlson fiberglass ones.

    Remington Rand 1911A1

Probably perfectly fine to shoot as long as the bore is clean. Depending on whether all parts are correct or not determines the value. Do not change any parts unless you have someone that is knowledgable in Rem. Rands to advise you on where to get the proper parts. While a 1911 part is a 1911...

Who would be interested in some of these walking targets

Anything over 22lr and they would probably have to be extremely heavy or they would roll instead of walk.

    Sabre Defense, done.

All you have to do is advertise 1 gun part on Boomershooter classifieds. Sell it and ship it to a foreign country and you will be in the cell next to them. Put some railed handguards in a box and ship to your army buddies in Afganistan without proper clearance and they will get you. You don't...

    Barrel Bending

Try taking a 20 ga and a 12 ga empty shells and knock out the primers. Cut off the plastic down about halfway and stick the 20 in the muzzle and the 12 in the chamber. Hold it up to the light and look thru the hole. If you see perfectly round rings of reflection in the barrel. The barrel is...
