Get your stones out and roll your own..... :) Apex is good. But the M&P sear is very tunable. The rest is basic striker type tuning. Like decking out the sear. Making sure the striker tang is right. Working over the striker safety button. Have fun. :)

If you have a good barrel in your M&P you can't honestly beat it. And Smith can put out some very good barrels and chambers. On the other hand they can also put out some not so good stuff. So you need to honestly know what you have. Slug your OEM barrel out. Maybe look at some very basic...
