I was trying to. It sounded funny in my head... Sorry twss.
Though...it probably wasn't as much a joke as it was foreshadowing (heading out in 9 hours for my first attempt at a 223).
The info about the magnifier is good. I can think of so many questions and now I can see why everyone...
This is really cool info.
Aside from that, reading the inter-play between the original posters (which does not appear to have changed much in the year since) is funny as hell.
But one side thought about the Cammie picture. Is it the angle of the camera or does she have abnormally long index...

Kurt, I think there's a disconnect in our communication somewhere.
My comment above about going back to google search wasn't to continue with the idea of the longer sight on a top rail or even related to finding a better way to use iron sights. It was because I still didn't...
DCD?
I just picked up a super cheap (@$50) 4x scope so that I could feel how my AR shoots without the fear of hitting innocent squirrels to the left or right of the 8'x4' sheet of plywood being used to hold targets up. I guess what I don't get is that during a 3-Gun match it seems like there...
Ok, thanks for the response. I figured there was a reason why no one was using a front sight out beyond the barrel, but I couldn't figure out why not if a larger distance between the front and rear sights makes for a more accurate shot. And I didn't take any offense. A critiqued response is...
I'm tired, I'm new to guns, and I'm thinking an exact opposite of what we see with 22" Shotgun Barrels and +8 NC Magazine Extensions. An 18" Barrel with a 2" comp wrapped up or enclosed by an 18" fore end with an attached 22 - 24" top rail. Front Iron Sight on the end of the rail (assuming it...
I think I understand what MOA (Minutes Of Angle) means in general or...er...basically. But why do some red dot scopes say that the dot is 5MOA or 2.5MOA or whatever? I don't understand what it means, assuming that MOA is a measurement of angle (scope's angle) and distance (target's location)...
I appreciate everyone on this forum that has taken time out of their daily lives to answer my questions with solid information and condescension-free feedback - both in public or private.
I was reading a post on another site's forum and a guy was asking about a particular AR. Being his first...
Ok, that makes sense. At first I thought I found the clamp on ones, but they're all integral gas blocks...dang the JP seems like a better deal overall price point to price point.
My Question is sorta in-line with the OP's so I'm not starting a new thread to ask it.
When you use the JP Gas Block, are you just using it for just the Iron Sight or are you removing the existing gas block you have and fully replacing that functionality? If replacing, does that mean you have...
