I just bought a new Valor vbob .45 and it comes with 2 flush fit Checkmate mags. I noticed threaded holes on the base pad. I tried an Ed Brown extended base pad that come with his magazines and it fit fine. Now my extra mag has a slam pad for easier reloads. Just thought this info would be helpful.

Very cool grips. They do nice work. I never thought I’d doing custom grips, but now I might!

Personally I never liked those blue grips. The pistol looks much better now. The mag well was a great addition.

The barrel lock up is more important for accuracy than the slide fit. The goal is to have the barrel lockup in the same position every time
