I thought the same thing. Then I looked at my cz. The sight doesn’t have to be pinned on the 1911. The barrel bushing traps the front of it.

Cabot uses a similar sight on theirs. Check them out.

I want to do a reverse dovetail cut front sight on a 1911 I’m building. I was thinking about using a CZ sight. I don’t know what cutter to use. Does anyone have any advice on this approach
