    Getting older ain't fun

At 76, I have a favorite saying, "if I'd known I'd be around this long, I'd have done better maintenance"! That gets more true every year. Since my Vietnam days, I've had cancer, diabetes, bad joints, heart attacks and open heart surgery, colitis, neuropathy, and now I can't remember elephant dung. I...

All gave some, some gave all.

This was me, pushing our last WWII Vet up to the Tomb of the Unknown, at Arlington national Cemetery, to lay a wreath. What an Honor that was. That's what it's all about.

    Beginner 1911 fanatic-in-training

Welcome to the neighborhood. Nice looking start! I lived in your state a few times, but moved to a state where we can actually shoot our guns when we like. Keep pushing, some day you will be free of your oppressors.

    MAC JSOC 1911 45acp

Maybe that one is a re-branded Tisas that was offered last year as a museum grade replica of the '42 Remington G.I. gun? If so, it's a great pistol, I was able to compare one to the original surplus pistol I have, and everything matched up perfectly. Good looking gun! Oh, and good shooting out...

I reserve the right to change my mind.. ( so I did )

I just left a buddy's shop. He bought ANOTHER Tisas 9mm Stingray, stripped it the minute he got it into his shop. Now, it is .38 Super and sweeeeet! The hole just keeps getting deeper:eek:

Wilson Combat vs. Dan Wesson – Which 1911 Should I Buy?

Good call, I remember carrying a Belgian Browning 9 in a shoulder rig, in Vietnam so many years ago. That was one dam fine pistol! I let it go, to a friend, and then left the country early, without finding another. My bad! A truly great companion.

Picked up a new one yesterday....

Yesterday I picked up a new AR, this one in 458 SOCOM. It was for sale, and I didn't have one, so I brought it home. It's gonna take some $$ to feed the thing, but anything it hits is down to stay, and, hey, I didn't have one.

    Fostech, anyone?

I have since gotten a few, and you are correct, VERY nice triggers! Thanks for the lead!
