    Find Ammo? Post here please.

Black Dot Ammo is the best reman I’ve ever shot. I’ve gone through over 10k of their rounds and never had a single FTF or FTE. Their 148 9mm FMJ is a hoot to plink with and compete with. I run it through my honcho in limited configuration and it feels like a .22. They are reliable with their...

    New Modular 1911 Manufacturer

Boys...figured it out...Cosaint Arms is the name of the manufacturer. Used the youtubes, typed in "single stack modular 1911" and viola... Check them out, they look cool, especially the proprietary de-cocker they offer.

    New Modular 1911 Manufacturer

Greetings, Hope all are well. I came across a new manufacturer. Apparently it was a former STI employee who started a new company. They build officer and commander size modular framed single stack pistols. The idea seems the same as STI, but the grip mount is different. I don't have any...

    Is that a hinge trigger?

    Nighthawk Custom drop in trigger

I think Matt McLearn charged me 200 for the last one he did for me with EGW parts. Not sure the benefit of going with the Nighthawk. Seems like a solution to a non-existent problem for me.

What's your most enjoyable to shoot?

It would almost be easier to define God and give three examples. I’ve got a .22 I found out Joe Chambers built that is awesome, but my rotation is that one, an AccuShadow 2, a McLearn Custom 2011, an Akai Custom, and my trusty M9. I know it said to choose one, but I shoot all of mine regularly...

    Best 1911 Double Stack?

Matt McLearn makes a full size and commander double stack with Cheely E2 grip. He charges 3k. I bought one and it blow's my STI doubles out of the water. You can't get a new STI double stack for that price. I can't say enough good things about it. It is accurate, points well, and the...

    Nighthawk Drop In Modular Trigger

Costs about three times as much as a trigger job from a competent gunsmith. I've used several of the cylinder and slide kits that cost half and they have all produced excellent results and are still functioning tens of thousands of rounds later. Cool factor is way off the charts...

    Who built it?

I found this in the AA box that came with the pistol. RM means Bob Marvel?

    Who built it?

If you built it then thank you. I’ve shot the crap out of it and it is amazing. But again, if you built it you already know.

    Another TRAITOR bites the dust!

All excellent points...I just remember the first time I went shooting next to a guy shooting a 50AE and I kept thinking $2.00 every time he pulls the trigger...lol
