Anybody used one for a build yet? I just picked up a couple from Steve @ CHA after reading about the "Chainsaw" FFL lowers. Steve's price was better than any of the internet sites and they are sold out at most places, plus he's hooking us up with the FFL transfer on the LOKI buy. They marked them as a "blem" by laser engraving a chainsaw on the trigger guard. I actually like the chainsaw, but that's just me. Anyways, I'm going to SBR at least one and maybe both. They aren't cheap, but with an integrated trigger guard and a flared magwell, they aren't THAT bad. Here's some gun porn for those that don't know what I'm talking about.....

I think they deserve some Vltor uppers. I'm going to have the engraving done on the front of the magwell since their is a chainsaw on the trigger guard and factory engraving on both sides of the magwell. They are much nicer looking in person. They almost look billet, that's how good Noveske did on the finishing. Give Steve a call if you want one, I think he may have a few left.

The chainsaw makes it badass!!
I'm not too into noveske just because I think they're overpriced but I would really like to have one of those lowers.

They are overpriced, no doubt about it. Since I'm spending money on tax stamps for them, I don't feel so bad. I wouldn't go pick these up just for a regular build though...

I got one the other day. I decided to swap it with the RRA on my 3gun Rifle. Everything went well except the trigger. I'm running a JP trigger with the speed hammer and anti walk pins. Well, the trigger pin holes are perfect for the standard MilSpec pins but the anti walk pins are tight. Almost like driving in a roll pin. I could not get the trigger and sear lined uppurfectly in order to drive the pin through. Sucks because the JP hammer uses an e-clip to work with the standard pins and my hammer didn't come with any.

Tolerances can vary greatly. I have had trigger pin holes from major manufacturers so loose that they would walk out and needed anti-walk pins. I have also had a few that were so tight that I thought they would never go. That sucks about the Noveske and the JP trigger though. I haven't decided on a trigger yet and hope it all goes together easily, but we'll see.

I really like how KNS includes a little brass bullet that screws into the pin to make it easy to get in. I wish JP did that. Of course I wish JP's were anti rotation too.

These lowers are not compatible with the Surefire 60 and 100 rd mags, if anyone didn't already know that.

I didn't know that either. I've been using the Nordic mag extensions.

I actually got the JP Pin through the hammer today. Hopefully I'll get to shoot it soon.
