The Belton Bushwhackers of the Belton Gun Club in Anderson County, SC are, for the second year in a row, hosting "The Bushwhack", the SASS 2022 South Carolina state championship.

The match has a capacity of 150 shooters and is very close to selling out.

Visitors and spectators welcome, no charge but there are vendors there to feed you, equip you and entertain you.

The match is very close to selling out, which is an indication of the great job that Slippery Stew and his team have done in planning a great match. It's just a little over a month away.

The match sold out and the organizers will be busy this weekend with preparations. Again, this is a great poppy to check out the sport. In addition to vendors selling gear for cowboy shooters there will be a local BBQ outfit, an ice cream vendor (very popular last year) and an axe throwing booth. All free to visitors.

The Bushwhack was a lot of fun, even though we had some rather cold and windy conditions at times.

I always keep my eyes open for visitors and try to speak to them. We had a good number of spectators and visitors.
