I always wondered why the pressures were so dramatically different between 9mm and 45acp; 30k vs 20k...it made no sense.
So after looking into it I found out that there is no reason why you can't increase the pressure of the 45acp to make it the beast it was meant to be.
I have also noticed that 1911s built up to 10mm standards can handle 45 cal with equal results.
For some reason the 45 recoil is much more subtle than 10mm.
It was just a curiosity trip using a $400 1911 and quality upgrades.
It turned out to be a pretty awesome hand cannon.
