Found this today, in a box with other modern canteens, just got to keep a sharp eye.


It's a 1918 Landers, Frary & Clark canteen, with a correct cover, as far as I can tell.

Back in the 70-80 yard sales were full of WWII stuff.... It's been picked over pretty well.

I kick myself daily.... Passed on a few heated flying suits, cavalry equipment and other goodies over the years.... It's all in collections now.
