I am getting a .30 cal suppressor. I am considering buying a new rifle for it. Seems like there are two routes- buy a rifle with threaded barrel or have my gunsmith thread for me. Is there a good suppressor-ready option? I see that there is a Remington 700 sps, but I have seen posts on here that suggest that the only good part of the 700 is the action. Tikka make an interesting t3 tactical that is threaded. Thought and recs?

I don’t know about the current run of Remington 700’s but mine from the 80’s is a tack driver. Threading a barrel isn’t expensive so IMHO, find a rifle you like and get it threaded if need be.

First off buying a rifle to fit a suppressor is more than enough reason to justify a new gun. Second,some rem 700 actions need trueing. Tolerance stacks make some rifles not group worth a damn
