OK House to Consider Constitutional Carry Amendment

On Monday, April 23, the Oklahoma House of Representatives is scheduled to consider a pro-gun amendment to Senate Bill 1212.

Please contact your state Representative and urge them to SUPPORT the constitutional carry amendment to Senate Bill 1212.

This pro-gun amendment would recognize the rights of law-abiding Oklahoma residents to carry a firearm for self-defense without having to first obtain a government mandated license to do so.

Again, please contact your state Representative and strongly urge them to SUPPORT the constitutional carry amendment to Senate Bill 1212.

I received this from the NRA today but I am trying to confirm some of the details. If anyone knows them, please chime in.

From what I can tell SB1212 (first attachment) has nothing to do with constitutional carry but there is an amendment on the house floor that does (second attachment)

Yesterday, the Oklahoma House approved Senate Bill 1212 with a pro-gun amendment by a 59-28 vote. Senate Bill 1212 will now be sent back to the Senate for a concurrence vote.

Constitutional Carry Has Passed the House Vote!
Well, we finally have some good news for you, and are happy to announce that we're halfway to getting one of our liberties restored that never should have been taken away to begin with.

In the short video below, Don Spencer delivers the good news about today's voting results in the House. SB1212 (the Constitutional Carry bill proposed by the Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Association) passed with an overwhelming majority on the House floor today. Next, it will be put to a vote in the Senate, and once that vote passes, the bill will be signed into law by Governor Fallin.

We will let you know when SB1212 is scheduled to be heard in the Senate as soon as we find out.

However, this needs to be a short-lived victory because we aren't finished yet. Even though this is a small win, we cannot relax our efforts now. We must call and email our representatives who will be voting on SB1212 in the Senate.

Been a loooong time coming but SB215 just passed the house and the senate tiday and on yo the governors desk!!

BREAKING: Permitless Carry Bill Headed to Governor's Desk | Buckeye Firearms Association

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, the Ohio House voted 58-36 to pass Senate Bill 215, sponsored by Sen. Terry Johnson. About an hour later, the Senate concurred with a vote of 24-9. This means the bill now moves to the Governor's desk!

Governor DeWine signed SB215 today at 4:50 pm effectively initiating constitutional carry in 91 days and also included is a repeal of the "duty to immediately inform" rule! Now you'll have to inform when asked, not immediately upon Leo engagement who decides arbitrarily what "immediately" means, which is one big reason I wanted this signed!! We had a licensed Ohio woman arrested at her house when police found out well into an investigation that she had a firearm sitting in her purse in her house but did not "immediately" inform them. Also the way it was written it was you duty to inform each responding officer as you encounter them….immediately!!!!
