'd forgotten that..back in the mid-80's, I was strolling thru a Target store, looking for something.
I passed an end cap (end of an aisle) and saw a stack of CVA muzzle loader kits, on clearance sale.
Pulled down a kit for their .45 cal Kentucky Rifle kit..was reduced to about $50.00.
I'd been curious about BP rifles, and thought this would be an inexpensive way to try one.
Bought the kit, assembled it..& was impressed it was pretty easy to assemble, & came out better than I would have imagined.

Returned to the store & surprisingly, there were still some other kits on sale there.
I snagged a CVA .32 cal. Squirrel gun kit for another fun project...., this was more expensive as it had nicer features.
I believe it was about $75.00, but it had an adj. rear sight, double (set)triggers, and barrel was attached to the stock with a thick wedge, instead of a couple of pins.
Can't remember if I bought the 2nd rifle before or after shooting the Kentucky rifle.
I still have both, shooting them is another story. ;) :)
