Hello friends,

I hope this message finds you doing well and prosperous in 2018. You may have heard rumors over the past year or seen some of the sneak peaks that have slipped out of the shop on FB and IG about the big project I've been working on with my dad and some others.

Well, I am writing you this message to tell you it is officially official. The 1911 University webpage is online and the 2018 class schedule is available!

For several years friends and clients have encouraged me to write a book and teach classes. With great help from my dad, Heidi and a few close friends, it is finally done.

If you ever wanted the opportunity to build your own custom gun under my direction, using the same parts I use, the opportunity is now available. You can go to the web address below and find out all the details about how to register for a class.

Thank you for your friendship and thoughts.

This sounds like a great project, and I already have some of stuff shown in the shop pic,,,well actually only one item,,,I wouldn't have to buy a Wilton Vise. More investigating required on my part, but it's something many would enjoy

I have been to the shop and received a mustard bottle from the masters hands. As Bender said a more gracious and humble host would be hard to find. I will highly recommend taking the class. The knowledge and memories earned are well worth the price of admission.

As I've posted elsewhere this is going to be a reality for me as soon as work and 1911U schedules align. I have only spoken to the man on the phone but he seems like a salt of the earth guy. I work with metal for a living but 1911's are a newish passion for me and my skills are limited. If only he needed someone to sweep up his shop....plus we have the same feelings about FCS. Made me laugh.

I have been tinkering with some 1911s for awhile and have progressed my skills considerably with the gracious help and guidance of Lou, Chuck and Ted but attending this class is high on my list. Watching Joe on his IG live videos give you a glimps into the shop and working through a full build under his guidance would be a tremendous asset to my progression as a smith.

004 can vouch for the class. I have learned more about a properly built 1911 in the first 2 days, than I have in 30 years of shooting and owning them. I highly recommend this class, thus far.
