Just thinking out loud here, venting, or whatever.
Years ago I had a smith do a little work on my SA Range Officer. Things happened, long story short, it became almost a build, just lacking a few cosmetic things and a nicer finish. The gun was Parkerized, and that was how it was refinished. I love this gun, shoot it well.
I decided I wanted a full custom, over 3 or 4 years, got it done! The only thing I would change on the build would have been to have the trigger DLC'd too. No complaints, gun looks great and shoots great, it is a Colt large billboard.
But, when I grab a gun to carry, or even at the range, I tend to grab the SA. My wife's favorite gun to shoot is the SA RO. I am contemplating selling the Colt, building a nice 300 BO AR pistol, and putting the money into my house and or bank account. I don't grab the SA because the Colt is a safe queen, I grab it because it feels best in my hands.
Keep the Colt, sell it... Just rambling.
