Every Day Carry

I carry a pistol every day I leave my house, either OWB or IWB and it varies which I carry. Most of the time the pistol is a KAHR PM40. In my pockets are a NAA 22LR Mini, keys, wallet and a Benchmade assisted folder knife and a extra magazine for the KAHR. Even when I am out back on my property, I am carrying a pistol and that varies also but I am always armed these days...

We always hear talk about EDC items but after seeing some of the lists, I have my doubts if anyone is really being truthful. I am talking about the stuff you carry EVERY SINGLE DAY, not some days, or days your going on a trip, or days you think about it. Stuff that goes in your pocket no matter if your going to the store or going on vacation.

Obviously there are some days we carry more stuff. If I listed everything in my briefcase, it would look like I am preparing for the apocalypse but I only have it on me 5 days a week and even then, only a portion of each day.

REMEMBER, BE HONEST. We won't learn anything if you try to make your man purse European Shoulder Bag sound like a Rambo movie prop

My current EDC:

  • S&W 642
  • Spyderco Delica II
  • small flashlight (right now a Streamlight TL-2)
  • keys
  • wallet (not pictured for security reasons :)) )
  • Phone

Here's what I carry 90% of the time. While hunting, fishing or traveling in unsavory areas I may go owb with more firepower.

Recently upgraded from G43 to G43X and now only one extra mag.

Daughter edc a G43x, she is happy with it and it fits her hand. I put a Lasermax green guide rod in it. When you get that little green dot middle chest you know it is going to hurt! no maybe about it.

i carry the usual, handgun, extra mag, keys, wallet, flashlight. its amazing how much help comes from shining a flashlight on a page you are reading after ahhhhh 55.
then there is a lighter ( havent smoked for about 10 years. i had one then so it shouldnt be a problem now.) and here it comes, a grocery bag in each front pocket. this keeps my EDC from rolling out and comes in handy lots of times. you can put a hand in to pick up something you dont want to touch.
have you noticed a lack of change in your pocket since putting things on a card?

The comment about carrying a lighter takes me back to the mid 70's when deciding to quit smoking.
Quit cold turkey, but just couldn't break myself from dropping that zippo (that I still have) into the front pocket. Kept thinking about the uses for it besides lighting a smoke and decided to keep it there.
It was a couple months later that it got left home when going to work. I knew the tobacco addiction was broken at that point.
Oh, and I keep a quarter in the pocket for grocery shopping at Aldi's where you have to pay to use the baskets, but you get it back when returning the basket.

My sister keeps telling me that I should try Aldi. The only one is 100+ miles away. Is it worth a trip? and I believe that Aldi's bought Winn Dixie!!!! FYI

We love Aldi but ours is like 9 miles from us. We actually have quite a few of them within a 25-30 mile radius. Great stores, and their store brands are great!
