I have been researching the Tisas Tanker and cannot find a definitive answer as to whether it is Parkerized or Cerakoted. Even the SDS Imports website does not specifically state which it is. Any help is appreciate.

Wish I could help you out, I have no info, but I know someone on here recently posted owning your model. Hopefully he will join in.
My guess, and its only a guess, would be parkerized due to cost alone.

Welcome aboard.

The confusing part is according to the SDS Imports website:
Description
1911 A1 Tanker Semi-Automatic Pistol, .45ACP

-Upgraded Version of the 1911A1 Army
- 4.25" Hammer Forged Chome-Plated Barrel
- Hammer Forged Full Size Frame, Commander Length Slide
- GI Style Sights
- Flared and Lowered Ejection Port
- Black Cerakote Finish
- Series 70 Internals
- Beveled Magazine Well
- Polished Feed Ramp and Lip
- Includes 1: 8rd. Magazine and Owners manual.
Yet all the reviewers refer to it as Parkerized. I guess I will find out for sure on Tuesday when I pick up my new Tanker.

Hhmm, clearly tisas thinks its cerakote! Hope you're satisfied upon receipt. And that you'll post your impressions along with a couple beauty shots!!

I picked up my new Tisas Tanker today. What a beauty. Looks like Cerakote to me.
