Hello, Shooters

Central Arkansas Shooters Association is proud to announce our second IDPA sanctioned match of the year --- HOG-n-HEAT â€" Aug 17th!

This will be one of the last sanctioned matches before the IDPA Nationals in September.

We thought the name is appropriate since we will be providing BBQ lunch as part of the match fee and will also have two stages that will follow the BBQ theme, in addition to the heat of August. We also plan to bring back 8 stages from previous IDPA Nationals from over the past 10+ years.

We are considering selling match T-Shirts for around $18 each, so please provide your shirt size on your entry if you would be interested in purchasing a shirt.
  • Match will be limited to a maximum of 150 shooters including staff.
  • Open Squads
  • Round count will be approximately 180 rounds
  • BBQ lunch is included with your entry fee of $70.00, after Aug 1st fee will increase to $80.00
  • We are working up some great prizes including a Springfield XD-S .45 that all match shooters will have a chance to win.
Match Hotel: Wingate by Wyndham

Rate is $69.00 per night Double or King Rooms â€" Ask for the CASA rate
1212 S Shackleford Road
Little Rock, AR 72211
Phone: 501-227-6800

We have 18 double and 7 king rooms blocked for August 16th for one and/or two nights at the rate of $69.00 per night. Information is already in their system. If there is a problem booking, ask for Phyllis in the sales department.

Thanks for sharing. When and where is the 1st sanctioned match to be held? I need to get some majors in before Nationals.

Remember you have to have shot an IDPA classifier in the last year to enter a sanctioned match unless you already scored master class in IDPA. Pete always offers to run anyone that wants to after the monthly matches at USSA.

Try this link to the IDPA website. It should show you a listing of all state, regional and nat'l matches upcoming. Single Stack Classic is next weekend in Berryville, Arkansas at Wilsons range. I'll be there!!

http://www.idpa.com/compete/competitionsearch?CompetitionLevels=2&EventStartDate=&EventEndDate=

If it doesn't, just click the boxes to the left of the page when it comes up.

You will definitely need some sanctioned matches in prior to nationals sign up time. There is some type of point system in to see who gets the spots. So many points for so many sanctioned matches.

Thanks for the info!

I was browsing that yesterday and I realized nationals is the same weekend as a big 3 gun match I'm already signed up for. Heck I better shoot a classifier and a qualifier in case I don't feel like traveling that far for 3 gun. A two hour drive to Tulsa sounds a lot better most weekends anyways.

Oil Capital has matches every 2nd Sunday and 4th Saturday with classifiers "normally" shot afterwards if there are folks there needing them. Match walk through begins at 9:30 and shooting starts at 10ish.
