Blocked Forums

1911 fanatics is the first gun forum I've come across that is not blocked on my work computer, this is a huge plus for me since I don't own a computer and have been stuck using my phone only.

I'm curious to see if anyone here knows why this forum is not blocked?

It was great in the late 90s all the way up until about 2003 I could look for anything on the internet and actually spent about half my day goofing off browsing! Probably partly my fault companies put all the blocks in place, sorry guys!

Sorry, that's not a very impressive statement about your work ethic.

Umm, ok that’s your opinion. I actually have a great work ethic, I just worked my way into a position that allowed me to do as I pleased. Also you don’t know that at that time I was averaging 100 hr weeks. So you don’t know my work ethic, my bosses did and we’re very happy with my performance! Still are to this day!

I was being a little funny, hence the “sorry guys” thing and exaggeration of playing on the internet. Think about it, at that time in the history of the internet there wasn’t exactly a whole lot to look for! I was on a lot mostly for work related stuff but you just assumed I have a bad work ethic?!

I know they do, I still do too. I don’t enjoy it as much the older I get but I still work a lot just not as physically demanding as it used to be.
I was a farm boy and a machinist so I’m not afraid of working king and hard.
We’re all good though, just wanted to point out my position.

Forums are new to me, the Addicts forum was the very first one I ever joined just a few years ago and this is only the 3rd one I go to. The second one is a coin collecting forum for one of the TPGs in the coin collecting industry.

The first “internet” forums (back during the DOS days) were ‘c> prompt’ Bulletin Boards on a green mono-chrome monitor! [emoji23]

When the number of Bulletin Boards broke about the two hundred quantity level, I thought, “boy(!), there’s going to be no stopping this thing. Pretty soon, they’re going to have a Bulletin Board covering every topic under the sun!” I wasn’t sure my five megabyte hard disk drive could keep up!

even working 50% of the time-- you worked 50 hours a week.. man that is hard to maintain. kudos bobo
