I hear a lot of people ask about Production guns. In your opinion, what is the best OUT OF THE BOX Production gun. No modifications.

So full disclosure, I haven't shot all of the options, and the usual "whatever fits your hand the best" rule applies.

I am fond of the Glock 34. Very cheap, very reliable, cheap magazines. The trigger isn't the best, but it's certainly workable. I actually believe that the Glock 34 or 17 is better left alone. If you put on sights and some grip tape, you're pretty much set. It usually takes a lot of money and many minutes with a Dremel tool to get them unreliable.

So you're changing your vote to a G34?

FNS always feel better than a Glock to me but I've never mustered up courage to buy one and run it.

I could make a poll for every gun on the Production list, but most haven't ever heard of some of them

Just go with the most popular or common.

I wonder how the Ruger American will be.
