I received my first 1911 from my dad approximately 45 years ago. It was his service sidearm. A Remington Rand M1911A1. I have had an affection for the 1911 platform ever since. I currently own two Kimber micro 9s, the Remington Rand (1943), a RIA 1911 in 9mm/22TCM, and soon, a Tisas Tanker in .45acp. Additionally, I own a Smith & Wesson Model 39-2. This particular pistol is a transitional Model 39/39-2. I am retired and living in South Florida.

Had more bugs than any other car...even had a 62 van with a rag top & wrap around windows had a 36 hp engine. All true bugs not super beetles. Too bad the had to stop making them.
I agree. I've had my 1968 for 20 years and am not likely to ever part with it.
