147 gr cast FP Bulet
3.5 gr WST powder
1.138 OAL. I tried 1.140 with my M&P had some problems with extracting a live round.
Makes just over 900 FPS on chrono
Bullet seems to be as acurate as I am able to shoot. Much more acurate then the same type of load in my M&P 40.

How much does it smoke and how much sooty crap does it leave in the gun? I use a very similar load with Bullseye and it is dirty as hell.

Its really really filthy. Almost identical to what I've been loading

pretty close to what I've been loading but with coated Bayou Bullets, it runs pretty clean with those.

Sounds like a tight chamber or a short throat.

Mike the dia of the bullets and your crimp.

To much crimp is bad as is not enough.

Is there engraving on the bullet when you get it out?

Best,

It is about as clean as any lead bullet combo I have tried. Light amt of leading but highly dependent on brand of bullet. The powder burn seems pretty clean. I am comparing to bullseye, 231, clays and no 5. WST is cleaner then all of these. I like the feel of the WST similar to Clays but more accurate in my gun and cleaner. I think the M&P has a short throat built for factory plated bullets.

I've got several loads for 147gr and titegroup. Using a plated bullet I loaded 3.3gr titegroup @ 1.13 OAL and get 924 FPS or 135 PF. 3.4gr gets me 137 PF. Using Bayou bullets 3.3gr get's me 138PF.

Got any pet loads for 147's with w231 or Titegroup? I have always shot 115 or 125 and recently got a good deal on some 147's.

Thanks!

I'm at 3.2gr of TG @ 1.135 OAL - using a Plated bullet - made 132 PF at every major this year per the Chrono

I aim for between 130-135 PF. I've experimented with other bullets but pretty much have settled on the Montana Gold 124gr JHP. They are pretty close in price to all the others (right at .09 each) when bought by the case, there are no supply issues, and they are jacketed so I can use Titegroup with no issue. Plus they work pretty darn good too!

3.2gr on most 147's is probably the sweet spot with Titegroup.

Wow, I have a straight up learning curve on reloading!! Just put a Dillon on order last night, any 9mm load recommendations? I have 2000 9mm (.356) 115gr HBRN-TP bullets on order from Berry's and 5000 cases sorted last night that I ordered from Shooters Source.

I just finished working up a new 147gr lead/moly load today with WSF. 1.14" OAL and 3.6 grains.

10 shots averaged 130PF, and seemed to smoke a lot less than Bullseye which was the real goal.

Anyone ever use IMR 700-X? I'm getting a bunch for free.

Hey Poop (that sounds wrong), what type of blaster is that out of?

That's almost the exact load that I use for WST. I've been using 3.5gr of WST, but I was able to chrono this weekend thanks to Wall, and I was anywhere from 125 to 128 pf. I'm going to bump it up .1 grains and see what's up.

This is from my Glock 34.

Not sure if this is the same IMR that you're asking about, but if so it looks like it burns quickly. It's number 12 on the list here.

I've loaded some 147 moly bullets with 3.6gr of WST @ 1.15 out of a 5" M&P to 133PF.
