Man, I am seriously loving that laser beam target system called "iTargetPro"... You all have seen things where I just did simple bullseye target shooting with it, and it captured the image results on my smartphone. This time, I decided to act like a police officer, military MP, etc... and try a firearm drill with a silhouette target (downloaded & printed from iTargetPro), and dispatch a target bad guy as quickly as possible, in 100% self-defense mode where there is no way out.
(1) 1911-A1 .45 ACP, with laser beam cartridge installed.
(2) 30 feet away (standing in the livingroom, with my wife Margaret looking at me like I have lost my mind), aiming all the way down the hallway, into the bedroom, to the dresser where I have the iTargetPro setup and smartphone app enabled.
(3) Mentally think of some horrific, Godawful, unthinkable scenario... Example: A bad guy is literally IN my house, armed and dangerous, and coming after me and Margaret, with the intent on sending us to meet our maker...
(4) Think fast, act fast, and legally and lawfully defend yourself!

Two rapid shots (manually cocking the hammer - to engage the laser beam) -- upper right corner of the 7 ring, to the chest.
One shot to the head (10 ring).
One shot to the center chest (8 ring).
One shot again to the head (8 ring).
And finally, one last shot to the chest (lower left 7 ring).

BYE BYE BAD GUY... FROM 30 FEET AWAY TOO!

It's been years since I did one of these drills, back when I went through that DCJS Armed Security training course. You used real live ammo at the indoor range back then. Here, I was just harmlessly using a laser beam cartridge, no magazines, no bullets, no anything at all like that.

EDIT: I PUT THE DISCLAIMER IN THERE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA (FACEBOOK), AS PEOPLE MIGHT FREAK OUT OVER MY POST ON TARGET SHOOTING....

Update:
I just finished practicing with that laser beam app called "iTargetPro" with my Rock Island Armory 1911 .45 ACP (model: 51431), and decided to take a quick photo with my smartphone.
Sure, sure, there are plenty of nice, smooth shooting compact handguns out there, but then again, they can't compare to the legendary 1911!
Mine is sort of "one-of-a-kind" with the checkered USCG grips (I'm a retired "Coastie"), and a few years later the guy sold off his CNC machine, and got out of the handgun grip business. So, you could consider my RIA to be arguably the only 1911 around with custom made USCG logo grips! :)

I have the iTarget, pretty nice for indoor practice. I did not know they had targets you could download. Will have to check that out.
