Per post title from what I saw today those who have waited may have waited to long. Drove by local gun store/range today there was a waiting line at the range there and the store and lot were full and letting 10 in at a time only when 10 left, ZERO ammo for public sale, for gun rental you had to buy there and 9mm was $20 box of 50 115 gr white box. They had it for rental handguns only.

It is about the same every time anything causes something like this, you never seem to hear/see it from those who really like to shoot, just the same this am here as I drive past the public range almost daily people wait outside to get in, I did hear yesterday now they have ammo for popular calibers of firearms they sell available with purchase and a free range ticket also. After being in the business myself I do not fault them any for this now.

Academy here did have ammo some 16 ga shotgun, 45 GAP and some odd rifle ammo, nothing else period...……… All the $1 a pop premium stuff and ball was gone! They said they were expecting some steel cased next week.

Yup it's hit here again.

They said they have less ammo than anytime the store has been open for business. Even bare shelf on powder and the $5 primers they had.
Also limiting customers in the store at 20 at a time.

I went back today and saw the same thing very dismal to say the least and yes some were asking for ammo, they did say they have ammo put back for what firearms in stock 1 box each at regular pricing with purchase only. I do remember well our matches did not show any lack of people during the obamma shortage times. From the amount of brass left on our ranges here lately from practice shooters not much has changed yet. 99% 9mm, 45 and 22rf.

Wednesday a range day if weather ok load day if not.. Now also a fishing invite! Very hard choices here. Probably shoot as that usually wins over and much closer to home. Shoot-fish-load in that order.

From today's rain and storms looks like another casting and loading week, sure way to wet to shoot without a boat! I need to shoot more! May be a 2 trip fishing week. Instead.

We did another range trip Friday and yes several shooting and nobody picked up brass we sure cleaned it well before leaving. A brass sorting/loading day coming this week for sure.
The more I get to shoot the more I want to! We shot about everything this week including some old Marlin lever actions.

Lessons for today when we ever recover from the latest panic buying don't ever let happen to you again ---if we ever recover --- also election year to be considered, if you wish to continue to shoot wake up.

Thanks... I am considering it, just as a learning aspect. But like you mentioned, if they (Dems) go crazy and start banning ammo or tax it or make it cost $100 for a small box of WWB 230gr FMJ, then of course reloading would solve that issue....
Unless they also attack components........ you can cast your own but can't make powder or primers
