As you can see by my screen name I own Rugers. Nothing but Rugers. Is there any other Ruger 1911 owners here?
I own a "new to me" SR1911. It's a 2012 model year, has a loose ejector and two stripped grip bushies. It shoots straight, just dont want to cause any damage with the loose Ejector. It's going back to Strum Ruger for some TLC, $30 one way shipping to them & they cover return shipping... about a two week turn around!
:p

The Ruger CS and quick turnaround is legend. The best in the business IMHO.

I have four SR1911 pistols, a 5", a CMD and a Light Weight CMD in 45 ACP, and a 5" in 10MM. All shot flawlessly out of the box. My daily carry is the LW CMD. I doesn't tug at my Wranglers.

I own a SR-1911, 2013 edition, I bought it new I forget what I paid, but a little under $500, they have gone up some I believe. Mine is solid. I did replace the Slide stop lever with a Wilson and have a new recoil assembly from Wilson for down the road. I have not been doing much 45 shooting.

I would like a new Officer's Model Ruger, I have a RIA GI version and like that for Concealed Carry, but I have a lot of choices for CC.

I own Colts, Rock Islands and a Ruger Commander. I have to say, Ruger just makes damn good pistols and rifles. Score one for them taking on the 1911 and making another great pistol. Spad

I meant to say "damn" good pistols and rifles, so I just want to get that "good" word in. I have a number of S/S single actions and Blue ones that are just rugged great guns. My Ruger rifles are fine guns. Bill Ruger turned the gun world around when he made the Single Six...Spad

Customer Service in capitals!!!
I had a new AR-556 'blow up' at the range, when it was a month or two old. BCG cracked, magazine blew out, bolt catch cracked, Rim of bullet was 'missing' but rest of brass was stuck in barrel.
Ruger replaced the entire weapon at no cost!

Color me 'Very Impressed' with Ruger Cust. Svc.!!!

If you get on Ruger forums you will hear that over and over.

I had a (Still have) Ruger American Compact Pistol, that locked up halfway in and out of battery at round twenty. I was able to get the live round out and sent it back, a week or so later I had it back, fixed.

I used to belong to RugerForum.net and because of asking about a sale f a Ruger P89M, very very hard to find, from a new member I was banned for life. The new member was so new I could not PM him at all. I had a 30 day brig time before that for using AYFKM, in a post. Yep, that is what I did.

Anyway, before all that happened there was story after story of fantastic Ruger CS on that forum. I have a full size RAP 9mm Pro that I love to shoot and love the adjustable back strap because of my big hands but actually the medium strap works better on because I like lots of finger on the trigger. The 2 1911's I own have finger grips installed on them for a "bigger feel" to the 1911 grip.

Also, welcome to the forum.
