Under Communism all food & any other production is by & for the state.
How are food supplies where you are at now?

It's not only "getting real" It has been real for years, we have finally admitted that to ourselves. We are currently in the absolute most momentous time of your lives. Stay alert, stay armed, stay safe, and most importantly pray for courage and discernment in the future starting right now. We are going to need it. My prayer for years has been Lord if it comes down to it make my hands steady, my will strong, and my aim straight. Grant me courage, do not let me run, do not let me deny you, and do not let me doubt. If I do I am not sure You will give me the chance to repent before I die, and I will be lost. Thank You, in Jesus name amen. This gentlemen is where I stand. God Bless, and if it is Your will, save this great country. Carry on folks, do good stuff.

It bogles my mind why the American people can't see that China is buying up EVRYTHING in this country and it goes unheeded. There just concerned that they have the latest I-Phone to take their selfies with. And they still keep cranking out babies to send to the public brainwashing school. No duty to Country or God. Shameful.

As a retired farmer that had to work another job to keep the farm in the family, I can relate to the issues in the OP's link. Most farmers now require a college degree to work through the myriad of government regulations that make no sense in how they are ran.
My kids wanted nothing to do with farming after leaving the home. Had enough when growing up. The advent of the computer showed these farm kids that there is a life outside the farm when in the past it was just assumed they would be taking over the farm duties as generations had done before them.
We just cash rent the farms to farmers that are taking care of 10's of thousands of acres. That is the only way a farmer can survive now is by farming vast amounts of land.
The family farm of 160 acres or less that could support a family no longer exists.

I have seen that happen around here for quite a while now. So stinkin' sad. An extremely hard way to make a living, and I salute anyone who continues to do this for us. God Bless you all, your reward will be great in Heaven. We have amazing friends that still farm, all I can say is I'll pass. I am not cut out for that, I freely admit it. Thank you to all those who continue to do the hard things.

What kept us going was that we grew Organic, heirloom fruits & vegetables.
No way to make a living, we do make enough to cover plant food & sprays.

Growing hybrid & GMO seed, is a good way to go broke now. The seed must belong to us!

Chine birth is going down.

China's population has fallen for the first time in 60 years, with the national birth rate hitting a record low - 6.77 births per 1,000 people. The population in 2022 - 1.4118 billion - fell by 850,000 from 2021. China's birth rate has been declining for years, prompting a slew of policies to try to slow the trend.Jan 17, 2023

There are several potential short falls in agr produce looming in the future.
Many of the farms in California and nearby southwestern areas will likely not have water in the future since lake mead is drying up. A lot of produce needs that water. We can not count on getting such things from Mexico or the rest of Latin America. The Chinese that are now having more money to spend will be competing for agricultural produce world wide. We should sufficient wheat and corn so we will not be starving. Anyone with back yard should be thinking of some raise beds and some dependable fruit trees.
For meat and eggs, chickens are always good and most cities now will allow one to keep enough hens for egg production.
On top of everything are unknown disasters: yellowstone blows up, mount st helen blows up, or some other volcano emits an ash cloud making a year without summer. A new disease wipes out a crop or an animal livestock industry. Plus many I have not even thought of.

California has way more than enough water. The problem is the Communist Govenor and government, Enviromental Nazi's, and brainwashed greenheads flushing 80% of it out to the ocean. No reservoirs or dams in the last 60 years. And the population (immigrants) has skyrocketed. Thats just part of it. If you don't believe that you're a brainwash A-hole also.

I do not know if your statement is true or false. I also doubt that you know either. Exactly how much water in gallons or what ever unit are available via dams etc. vs how much water is needed.
I just took a quick look. CA does have dams and most were there from many years ago. A few more are in the works. But the question that I have not seen answered is if these dams will be able to produce enough water for state agriculture and the urban areas.
Your statement about anyone that disagrees with you not only shows what sort person you are, but does really inform anyone.
You have the environmentalists on one side and those that think more dams will help. As an outsider I do not know.
But we are talking about agriculture here, right now there is a water shortage and calling people names is not likely to fix the problem.

I take back the name. But you do not know. I've lived in this state since 1957 and watched it all before my eyes. I will not accept any double talk or excuses.
Better.
You right that there have no significant dams built in CA in many years. But no other facts.
You say a lot of water is going into the ocean. Do the big cities like LA and San Francisco recycle their water for farming. I suspect that they do not.
But the fact is Lake Mead is at an all time low and the experts think it will likely be staying that way if their prediction of a long-term drought comes to be. If so an important part of the nations food supply is gone and that was my point.
Since we average about 60 inches a year where I live in northwest florida, we have enough water; our problem is polluting our waters and making the water quality go down. We only do a limited amount of farming that is mostly peanuts, cotton, and some soy. But we could be growing a lot of other things if the price was right. Especially for some of the more expensive american produce such mayhaws, paw paws, and other things.

If you put this question to ANY of the CA Central Vally farmers, I guarantee you will get a copious answer. The CA Delta water management is a sin. Thats all I've got. MAGA.

The CA Central Valley:
How much has the CA Central Valley sunk?

The Central Valley in California subsides when groundwater is pumped faster than underground aquifers can be recharged. The Central Valley has been sinking (subsiding) at differing rates since the 1920s and is estimated to have sunk up to 28 feet.
